Insulation Services
Commercial fish plants, ice arenas, offshore fishing vessels, breweries, metal processing plants, and cold storage facilities all operate through a network of piping and vessels to either cool or heat process fluids.
GFI has been supplying insulation services to these industries using a variety of insulation solutions. Below are just a few examples.
Fiberglass Shell/Jackets for Pour and Place Insulation
“Pour and Place,” as it is sometimes referred to, is a fully sealed insulation product for piping and vessels, most commonly used in wet or damp environments.
GFI fabricates in-house jackets from 2″ to 36″, typically in 4′ long sections. The 1/8″ thick jackets are wrapped around the pipe or vessel requiring insulation and injected with foam insulation. Seams are then taped with fiberglass tape and top-coated with gel coat for a fully sealed system. We have fabricated tens of thousands of feet of jackets for customers all around Newfoundland and Labrador.
