Fiberglass Shell/Jackets for Pour and Place Insulation
“Pour and Place” insulation is a fully sealed solution designed for piping and vessels, particularly in wet or damp environments where durability and moisture resistance are critical.
At GFI Composites, we manufacture fiberglass jackets in-house, ranging from 2″ to 36″ in diameter, typically produced in 4′ long sections. Each 1/8″ thick jacket is wrapped around the pipe or vessel, then injected with foam insulation to ensure complete coverage.
To achieve a fully sealed system, seams are:
- Taped with fiberglass tape for secure bonding
- Top-coated with gel coat for enhanced durability
